Calvi - Sun, Sand, and Mountains

Calvi is situated in the northwest corner of Corsica and is a very scenic port with a fortress overlooking the sandy beaches and lots of towns perched in the mountains surrounding it. We explored the coastline on both sides of this quaint little city including L'Ile-Rousse and Plage de l'Alga. It was exhilirating to drive up into the mountains and discover more hill towns like the unbelievably high village of Sant'Antonino. Visiting Plum Coulee just won't be the same.

We said good-bye to Corsica from the northeast port city of Bastia. Corsica has left an impression on us and it was a good feeling to be reluctant about leaving such a jewel. This is definitely a place we will not soon forget.
