Our plan was to travel from the Loire Valley south towards Provence. We decided to take the route through Bordeaux since that was a region in France we had never seen before. Bordeaux is the port for this wine growing region. We found ourselves exploring another fascinating city with narrow alleys, tons of plazas and parks, and an interesting waterfront. We took it easy and spent as much time as we could resting in our host Frederic's wonderful home with a pool. It was a little cool but, hey, we're Canadian!
